The Arabian Travel Market 2015
Travel Centre Maldives, together with 92 representatives from 47 companies in the Maldives, is taking part in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) held in Dubai, UAE from 4th – 7th May 2015. This would be the 5th year that Travel Centre Maldives has participated in the ATM event.
Arabian Travel Market is an event where tourism destinations around the world and from the Middle East, exhibit a multiple range of accommodation options, awe-inspiring tourist attractions and new airline routes. It is the largest trade and consumer travel show in the Gulf region, opening business potential within the Middle East for outbound and inbound tourism professionals.
ATM is an ideal platform for suppliers and travel agents from Maldives to create marketing networks with their counterparts in Middle East and United Arab Emirates (UAE). 2015 marks the island nations 16th year of participation in this event. Taking part in this annual Arabian Travel Market has strengthened the presence of Maldives, The Sunny Side of Life in the Middle East Market. And the continuous support shown by Maldives for this annual event has shown potential growth in the tourism industry for the country in the past few years.
The Maldives pavilion is 200 sq meters and themed as a beach resort with a water bungalow where visitors can experience a little bit of paradise on earth. The concept showcased the uniqueness of a beach bungalow in Maldives resorts along with its tradition and culture. The Maldivian delegation updated the travel trade and members of the media at the event on new developments and products in the country as well.
A total number of 6,395 tourists from the Middle Eastern region visited the Maldives from January to February 2015. Which is a growth of 14.7% compared to the same period in the previous year. The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is one of the most essential exhibitions to present the tropical paradise as a luxurious destination to the market. Therefore, Travel Centre Maldives is a tour operator that aims to attract more tourists to the archipelago and increase the target number of each month in the tourism sector of Maldives.
